The KNack

Investing is a recipe. It may only call for three ingredients: Money, Knowledge and Time, but that doesn’t mean it is easy. Because Time is always moving forward, we want to get this recipe right more often than not. That is where having the Knack could really help. The Knack is the secret to preparing a recipe right every time. We demonstrate this concept with some of our favorite recipes. Along the way we’ve inserted videos to demonstrate the Knack.

Please enjoy.

THE KNACK

Humble Beginnings

You may have heard the phrase: “living high off the hog.” It refers to where the choicest cuts of pork were found on a hog. Cuts like pork belly and pigs’ feet were low on the hog and required special handling to make them edible. Over the years, resourceful cooks have elevated the cooking of low parts of the hog to an art form. In this section we will apply the same concept to beef and chicken, using the humblest parts of each to make nourishing and satisfying meals. With a little planning, you can also save time by using one slow cooking session to make several variations of the same recipe for freezing and re-constituting later. Enjoy.
